There are a lot of new cafés opening in DC and Reya at The Gold Poppy is gradually visiting them. One she has grown fond of is Sidamo. With photos and words she describes the experience, and writes: Located in the middle of an awful block of H St. NE (between 4th and 5th) in which every other building is boarded up, full of ghosts and creepy as hell, Sidamo is clean, sweet and welcoming. They serve only organic teas and organic, fair-trade, shade-grown coffee that they roast fresh every day, plus the usual sandwiches and pastries. Sweet!
