DC Blogs Noted

The slumbering beast on Grey’s Anatomy and in life. After a sustained period without sex, you kind of just … forget about it. just going with it

There a few blogs in DC written by residents of condos. The Whitman DC Condo blog may be most active. Do condo blogs attract buyers or warn them off?

The firm’s culture of working late isn’t appealing to this writer, who quits his job. Chronicles from the Commonwealth writes: The one night I stayed late because I had come in late, I did feel for the first time like I was starting to fit in this culture, but at what cost?

I’m sorry but that’s just not true. I am NOT the Whitman blogger and blister at the accusasion. There is PLENTY I HATE about that blog (I really like and appreciate Al, our conod manager, for example) but I personally think the blog is right about the condom (disgusting), the roof smoking (there’s already been a fire on the roof because of it), and the car parked out back (we all tried to call the cops on that car and they could do nothing because of zoning).

I appreciate your opinion and actually agree with the over-the-top tone, but I can only speak for me. I find the blog better than the Google group and especially better and more effective then how the board tries to communicate.

If “Ditchwater Sal” isn’t the Whitman blogger, why did he list the Whitman blog as his home website? Go ahead, click on “Ditchwater Sal”… It will take you to the Whitman blog.

The Whitman DC blogger is NOT a resident of the Whitman. He is commenting on a condo board he had no vote for. He should be contacting his landlord if he has issues – not publically bad mouthing and mis-reporting issues. Some of his reports are correct, but the negative slurs and residents and owners is ridiculous. He is ruining a great building. Owners are not posting there. When some owners put together a user group to discuss issues that only owners need to discuss, he began making negative comments about the group. If he ever owned before, he’d know that it is typical for home owners to create user groups. It’s one way, not the only way to communicate. And of coures these groups are private, it’s not open to the world. His blog should be shut down!!!!!!!!!

I disagree. I think it’s perfectly fine to blog about what is going on wit ha condo or apartment building. It sounds like sour grapes to me.

I’ve looked at the blog. It is rather entertaining. I don’t even live there and I chuckled a lot. There’s a lot of info about the building there too. Not just the humorous stuff it seems. I run two of my own blogs and the fact that the Whitman blog is getting 20 and 30 comments on posts is quite amazing.

You sound a lot like the Whitman Watcher. I just read one of “your” comments on another blog, and you’ve got the same ridiculous writing style…

In fact, any one want to do some research and smoke out this blight on the Whitman community? Once we get the “Whitman Watcher’s” real name, I think the irresponsible blogging will become less of a nuisance.

Judging from this comment, it appears that the Whitman Watcher was once a resident of 1824 Belmont, had Peter C. Schaumber as a landlord, or otherwise ran afoul of this rental community.

    Curious readers, check it out.

We started a blog for our condo in Alexandria. It’s going pretty well. 3 or 4 of us contribute and share our thoughts.

Do you know who the Whitman Watcher is? You know, that annoying pest who terrorized the Whitman Condo community this last summer? Well, he’s back… If you have any theories on his or her true identity, please post a comment on my blog!

Folks, you’ve got to read “Track Amazon’s 30-day refund guarantee”

This is really outrageous stuff and the best I ever read about the thing.

Check out the reviews about this: http://bargains-hunter.blogspot.com

It’s not theories but carefully researched hard facts.

    Cheers

Just discovered a complete list of all marked down products at Amazon, sorted by category
and % off, ranging from 50% off to 90% off (thanks Sonja for the effort).

Actually I never thought Amazon would have articles with 90% off, but only in the category
Electronics there are more than 3000 of them – look for yourself, the list is on
Bargain Hunter (which is a blog of a woman who specializes in finding good deals at
    Amazon, like Britain’s “Jeanie”).
